We are excited to announce one of our newest coliving projects that will be opening in West Oakland fall of 2019. This will be one of the first ever ground-up coliving projects, meaning that the layout was designed specifically around community life with a variety of spaces for gathering, dining, working, growing food, and creating together. The property consists of three separate structures that will be net-zero energy (thanks to a rooftop solar array), includes a roof deck with views of downtown, and located only two blocks from the West Oakland BART station.

This neighborhood has a rich history of activism, industry, creativity, and a diverse community. We want to carry on this tradition by finding the right people to make this space their home. Our model works by finding a core team of house founders (called “catalysts”) who we then support, train, and collaborate with to develop a house vision, market the home, and enact house systems and agreements. (Learn more about the role at www.opendoor.io/catalyze.)

If you or someone you know think they would be a good fit as house founder for this property, please fill out the interest form below. We will review applications and follow up with those that we feel are a good fit for the role by phone. Lastly, due to the nature of construction, we are looking for folks with flexible move-in dates over several months this fall

Thank you!

We look forward to hearing from you.
