Creative Space Planning Event Was Great!

Last night we had a fun, idea-filled evening of scheming, dreaming, snacking and planning for what’s to come on the ground floor at The Canopy!

Outcomes and next actions:

Follow-up working meeting in 2 weeks to continue making it happen!
People are planning a few events and popups (more info here)
We can start coworking together in the space now for free!
Folks are sharing with friends about the space and can stay updated via the Facebook group

A sample of some themes that emerged:

Taking an organic, iterative approach to outfitting the space over time
Building strong relationships with neighbors and the local community
Designing the layout to be easily reconfigured
Operating it as some form of collective or cooperative

The space was blessed with new lighting and a fresh coat of paint just hours before.
