Sitting beside Berkeley’s culinary district “Gourmet Ghetto,” our Rose Street property is a beautifully refinished, multi-unit home in a quiet neighborhood. The 14 bedroom home has just been fully remodeled and furnished specifically for community living. The property consists of large original home and a converted 2 story condominium.
The North Shattuck neighborhood is known for homegrown farm-to-table cuisine made by the best chefs in the world. Arch St is within walking distance to a variety of delicious eateries including Chez Panisse, Cheeseboard Pizza, and Grégoire. You’ll also find a mix of specialty and affordable grocery stores including Andronico’s Community Garden, Safeway, and the North Berkeley All Organic Farmers’ Markets. You’re also an easy bike ride from many other cultural centers in Berkeley including 0.5 miles to the Berkeley Rose Garden, 0.8 miles to Cal, and 1.0 mile to Downtown Berkeley. The Downtown Berkeley BART station gives you easy and affordable access to all of the Bay Area.

J – I’m a former elementary school teacher turned software engineer. I grew up in southern california but I’ve been living in the bay area for the past 3 years. I currently work for a software company (from my desk at home). When I’m not working I enjoy playing video games, watching anime, and reading fantasy books (I’m at the end of the Wheel of Time series)! I also enjoy hiking and riding my bike. I’m really interested in community because of how sustainable the model can be, in addition to the perks of being able to socialize with others and learn and grow from them. I look forward to meeting everyone!
